$30,000 first time home owners grant extended for four years, no stamp duty for at least 12 more months

Queensland first home buyers will benefit from stamp duty relief being locked-in law with the 2026-27 Budget, with more than $60 million in relief to be delivered each year as part of the Crisafulli Government’s change.  

Since the Crisafulli Government abolished stamp duty for first home buyers on new homes in May 2025, more than 3,500 Queenslanders have already benefited, saving more than $66 million. 

More than $70 million has been budgeted to assist first home owners with $30,000 First Home Owner Grants locked into the Budget for four years. 

Treasurer and Minister for Home Ownership David Janetzki said the Crisafulli Government was unlocking home ownership for more Queenslanders.
